How do you play Clues?
- Read the clue. The first one is deliberately obscure — a dialling code nobody memorises.
- Click the country you think it is, on the map.
- Wrong? The next clue appears, and it is easier. You get five.
The ladder always narrows the same way, and it narrows geographically, so the map gets more useful with every clue: a dialling code, then the currency, then how large it is and whether it is landlocked, then the region and which countries it borders, and finally its capital. Solve it on clue one and you have done something; solve it on clue five and you have still learned where a country is.
Every clue is generated from a reference dataset — never written by hand and never by a model. A quiz site survives on being right.
Does it cost anything?
No. There is no account, no sign-up and no paid tier. Your streak and your guess history are kept in your own browser and are never sent anywhere.
